The year 2013 A. D. (Bikram Samvat 2070) marked the 50th anniversary of the Nepal Art Council. On 13th April 2013, Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, President of the Federal Republic of Nepal, graced the function to celebrate the Golden Jubilee on 13th April 2013 and inaugurated the newly-conceived Bagmati Gallery, on the top floor of the building.
