Celebrating 50 Years of European Union-Nepal Relations
This year marks 50 years of relations between the European Union and Nepal. To commemorate this anniversary, the European Union Delegation to Nepal selected four young Nepali photographers to capture their vision of this friendship. Their photographs, showcasing shared values of friendship, democracy, human rights, and sustainable development, are on display.
The exhibition emphasizes the European Union’s contributions to Nepal’s education, health, sustainability, and cultural relations. It highlights strong people-to-people connections and celebrates past achievements while inspiring future collaborations.
The photographers, Aakriti Shrestha, Ishan Tiwari, Rabik Upadhayay and Sushila Bishwokarma mentored throughout the project, traveled across Nepal to capture their stories. One will receive a grand prize for best depicting the European Union-Nepal relationship.
Organized by the European Union Delegation to Nepal and Nepal Art Council, the exhibition is at Nepal Art Council from 3 – 16 August 2024, 11AM – 6PM.
